Undeserved Misfortune
In films undeserved misfortune is commonly seen, one of the movies which I accurately remember that has by far the most misfortune is the film "The End Of Watch". This movie takes the audience in the everyday life of two police officers who patrol the urban area of what I think is LA. As the police officers go through there daily routines the audience also seems to have superior position as they know what they are going to face before they even do. The misfortune is seen at the end, when the officer that has the family and has a bright future is killed. Which is something that the audience would not expect throughout the whole movie.

Conflicts
A conflict that I have seen in a movie is the typical son or daughter does not want to listen to the parents for their future options. The child rebels and that starts the conflict, I actually recently saw this conflict in a movie, "Drumline: A new beat" I believe. Her the daughter has a multiple choices to become a doctor, which is what her father wants her to become following his steps. In the contrast the daughter wants to be part of a drum line, in a completely different university than expected. Along with this rises the conflict within her circle of friends, herself, and her surroundings. Coming back to the real world many conflicts are similar to what is seen in this movie. A life conflict that is commonly seen would be that of a student trying to achieve high grades in classes and all odds or against him or. This could be in cooperated in movies, defiantly. I have seen movies and some shows that have actually used this idea that I have seen.

My review of The Elephant Man
The film The Elephant Man was a great movie in my opinion, it was something very different to today's movies of course which caught my attention. This film made me incorporated many different elements that caught my attention such as emotional appeal, and logical appeal. As a member of the audience it made me relate both to John Merick and Dr. Trevis, whom were both two distinct characters who came together in a fantastic way. This film had a meaning behind it, making it more intriguing for me. I was constantly questioning myself for the actions of Bites, Dr.Trevis, the Night Porter, and John Merick, which I loved because it made me think beyond the screen into the real world. Especially the part where Dr.Trevis asks his wife "Am I a good man or a bad man?' this made me realize that actions where to be done not because of ones benefits but for the wanting of doing something kind. Seeing the struggles of John Merick and at one part of the film seeing him reach happiness captivated me, how can some one that has gone through physical abuse and has such a tormenting past achieve happiness? all because of the actions of the people surrounding him. Overall it was a great movie which is also inspiring.

My Name is John Merick
I was seen as a freak while I was with Mr.Bites, I was actually starting to believe that I was a freak. Everyday I was be shown to people, being laughed at all for the money. I would see people come and go with all with the same expression of fear and disgust. Until I saw this man come in one day, I was alone in the dark when I heard the sound of Bites' whip. I heard distant voices when Bites opened the curtain and said to me "STAND UP AND TURN AROUND" I did as commanded. As I turned I saw this man standing in front of me. I thought that he would be frightened but on the contrary he stood there and wept.

Welcome to My Nightmare
My fear would be getting abducted, this of course started with a nightmare. I was about fourteen when I had this nightmare and I could still vividly remember it oh how terrified I was when I woke up. It took place in a store I was with my mom and dad. We were at the far end of the store when the store when two men came in the store and had firearms in their hands. My dad told my mom and myself to lay on the floor and hide under something. When one of the assault-ants saw this he came near my dad and shot him and took me away from my dad. I think that that became one of my fears since then being abducted. I don't consider it to be my greatest fear but it is something that I do shy from. I always believe that nightmares are different perspectives of things or events that we see throughout the day. Surly enough I had seen a documentary of a columbine that occurred at a high school therefor the shooting, the abduction part of my nightmare just in cooperated there somewhere. Besides that I got over my fear of talking infront of an audience, still depending on the amount of people, and my fear of the dark aswell.

Compassionate Science
Wanting to make a difference comes from within someone, it should not be forced. In a generation where science and technology is used for the majority of things if not all things can be used for the benefits of others. We are and could continue to reach great heights. The resources provided to us today we can make an impact of the world, but everything starts with a motive , a drive that makes our goals. The fact that technology is now used to help a amputated person once again feel like they have their arm, leg, ect. back is amazing. I understand that science and technology are two big keys in doing great things, but it's all up to the person who is putting them into practice. After all we are still humans, just given another tool, and if we use the tools correctly the impacts they would have on others lives would be immense. If I had the knowledge and was able to make a scientific difference in order to improve someone else's like I would. This because I know that if i was in the other side of the situation I would want someone to do the same.

Predictions for the Future
In Charlie Chaplin's Modern Time and Fritz Lang's Metropolis the future is predicted. My predictions would be the increasing use of holograms. There might be times where students might be able to learn from the comfort of there home not quite like home school. The teacher is going to be a hologram. Another thing that I believe might be possible in the future would be the use of microchips as ID's. This would display more information about the person and it would be stored in the person or maybe in an actual chip that would have to be carried all the time. The official would just have to scan the chip and they would be able to know the persons information. There are so many inventions that already have been invented, I think that one of the ones that I would like to see in the future would be the use of tablets in classrooms. That would be pretty neat to witness, they would be used as notebooks, and no longer caring books because the books would be stored in the tablet. In the future I predict more work being accomplished by not human workers but by machines that operate themselves. This would decrease the jobs of people. Most of all I predict holograms I would love to see that become possible, when browsing the internet in a phone, computer ect to be able to see a 3D object would be pretty astonishing. The technology that we have in this century is already pretty advanced I would love to see what the future holds!

When I laughed so much my stomach hurt...
One time that I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt was
when my aunt trapped a June bug in a heart shaped box. She came in the house
and told me to open it, I asked her what was in the box and she said
chocolates. Which I knew was a lie because it was extremely light. I shook the
box a couple of times and she was said "no, no don't do that!" she
took the box and opened it out of it came a flying June bug! Everyone in the
house scared, chaos everywhere but mixed in with laugher. At that moment our
little neighbor was with us and he ran out the door only to miss it and crash
into the wall. I was huddled into a corner, I heard the June bug buzz as loud
as a helicopter in my ear. After I ran to my room and locked the door. I heard
a knock and it was my aunt tells me to go outside. All of a sudden I saw the
bug crawling a through the little slit on the bottom of the door. I was in the
room with a June bug, screaming and laughing!

Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times.
Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times demonstrates a sense of humor in a difficult time, which is why in my opinion it was successful. It was something different to the people of that time. Everyone was used to films with sound from 1927 and when "Modern Times" came out in 1936 as a silent film it was a twist to things. This added somewhat imagination and allowed the audience to take more part of the film. Charlie Chaplin knew the hardships of people going thorough The Great Depression, this escalated the meaning of this film. The film portrayed the struggles that people might have gone through, but demonstrated that there was still hope through it all to smile. This was a ending that was unexpected because everything was looking down for the little Tram, the predictable ending was for him to continue to be unhappy. Which is not the case, the film ends with the little Tram with a smile on his face.

My Thoughts on Bullying
Bullying is something that has always been in schools, playgrounds, and now in media. Bullying has now become a bigger issue that is hard to combat. When I was in elementary school the big thing was getting into little groups like the "chettah girls" or something related to Disney movies. If you couldn't relate to any of the characters you would be bullied. Bullying has escalated since then, physical violence was not much of the problem. Now you hear of girls cutting other girls hair, getting into physical fights where the aggresor is forcing the victm to fight. Contriversy on social media is also a big key, pages like twitter, facebook, instagram, ect are viewed as harmful by some adults. This because of the unsafe stereotype that has been built around them. These social pages are used to share memorable experiences with friends and family, but our generation has come to the point where they are used to attack one another.

My Favorite Movie
There is plenty movies that I
watch, which I would say makes me a movie junkie. One of the most recent movies
that I have watched is "Home Front". This movie is an action packed
somewhat thriller. It contains many different types of scenery as the movie
progresses. As part of the audience my attention needs to be caught from the
first scene until the last. Something else that this movie has besides eye-catching
scenery is twist to the story line that is what catches my attention. A movie
that is predictable bores me from the first ten minutes. "Home Front"
also contains great actors; it keeps the audience in awe to what is going to
happen next. Behind a great movie there also has to be a great storyline,
which is what I consider this movie to have. For the length of this movie,
which is approximately two hours, it takes a great director to come up with a
way not to give anything away, or make the ending predictable.
